LA CHIMERA

Set in 1980s Italy, Arthur, a British former archaeologist recently out of prison, reunites with a band of tomb robbers and uses his mysterious gift for dowsing to locate looted Etruscan tombs along the Tyrrhenian coast. As the gang profits from selling stolen antiquities, Arthur's growing feelings for Italia and his unease about the destructive nature of grave robbery drive the story toward a haunting, near-mythic climax.
