McKnight plays a physicist who invents a time machine and becomes suspicious that others may be trying to steal the technology. After he invents a time travel machine, physicist Jim Beale becomes suspicious of the motives of a woman that he meets. He sends himself back in time to learn more about her and potentially stop her from stealing his invention for an untrustworthy venture capitalist.
